Todd Halpen, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Director of Golf

Todd has dedicated over 30 years to the game of golf; as a student, a professional player, entrepreneur, and now a teacher. With an extensive competitive, instructional, and business background, Todd is situated to give you the resources, expertise and clarity you need to maximize your efforts.

His experience as a tour player, business owner (Golfers Toolbox, Golf & Tacos) and his university education (BSc. Behavioural Psychology, UVIC) helps YOU achieve more in golf than you thought possible!

You will have access to teaching and training technologies at every lesson including, Trackman, Boditrak, Hack Motion and Onform Video Analysis. These lessons often occur on successive days to prepare for a golf trip, or to address all areas of the game (Driving, Iron Play, Short Game, Putting) and prepare you for independent practice time.

Greg Johnson, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Teaching Professional

A born and raised Calgarian, Greg has been a PGA of Canada member since 2009 and Class “A” member since 2016. Greg specializes in teaching and coaching, focusing on swing techniques and how physical and mental training enhance a player’s skills. Greg’s plans are organized and goal-oriented, catering to both experienced players and beginners. Matt Seifert, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Teaching Professional

Matt has been a successful PGA of Canada professional for 16 years, and is a welcome addition to the Golfuture YYC team. He loves coaching everything golf including physical, mental and technical aspects. He enjoys teaching all levels of players, adapting to their unique goals and needs, and making the entire process as enjoyable as he can. His goals for every student is to ensure a long term success plan, not just a quick fix, and prides himself on excellent communication skills and positive energy.

Tom Flockhart, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Teaching Professional

Golf has been a very important part of Tom’s life and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others so that they can enjoy golf as much as he has!

Tom has been fortunate to work at some of the top golf courses in Canada through his 25+ year career in the golf industry such as St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Toronto (Host of the PGA Tour’s Canadian Open), Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club in Jasper, a couple of golf courses in Vancouver, BC as well as many others!

Tom loves to teach all levels of golfers and brings a very patient, empathetic approach to his interactions with his students as he understands that golf can be an intimidating experience for new golfers. Golf is meant to be a fun, enjoyable sport so Tom makes that his number one priority when teaching his students!

Bill Murchison, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Life Professional

Bill brings over 40 years of PGA experience, passionately dedicated to advancing junior golf. Mentored by PGA Hall of Famer Don Price, he’s known for his exceptional teaching, notably at Canyon Meadows and Glencoe Golf and Country Club. As Head Professional at Turner Valley and later at Silver Springs, he elevated their junior programs to national recognition. Leading the Golf Future Girls Club, he focuses on inspiring girls to love and excel in golf, aiming to foster lifelong players. With Bill, junior golfers receive expert guidance, nurturing both skill and passion for the game.

Brian Kohlman, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Teaching Professional

Originally from Hanna, Alberta, Brian joined the PGA of Canada in 1988. After a decade as an associate professional at Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club, he moved to the Golf Canada Centre team in 2002. Brian is driven by a passion for enhancing players’ skills. Renowned for his natural ability to positively influence students, he communicates the intricacies of the golf swing with clarity and style.

Brian’s calm demeanor allows him to connect with various learning styles, fostering an enjoyable and uncluttered learning environment tailored to each student’s goals. He emphasizes simplicity and repeatability in the golf swing to maximize success. Proficient in diagnosing and correcting ball flight issues, Brian simplifies the process for an easy and repeatable swing. Alan Robertson, PGA of Canada Class “A”, Teaching Professional

Alan joined the PGA of Canada in 1978, following a very good junior amateur career in Victoria, BC.Alan has a great passion for teaching and strives to help others enjoy the game as much as he does- His strengths include focused one-on-one communication, helping each student identifying his or hers challenges and his experience- His instruction style is laid back and fun, while still challenging his students to break through. He coaches students to improve with a game plan and goal in mind_ He uses a variety of teaching aids, mirrors, and alignment rods to evaluate his students skills. He has mentored a wide range of students of all different abilities from beginners to elite professionals, juniors to seniors, males and females, right and left handed.

With his 30+ years of experience, he has researched various methods of teaching and is able to adapt his teaching style to each individual student.
